White Paper considers the future of sustainable heating
Ideal Commercial Heating has launched a new white paper exploring how hybrid heating systems can support the decarbonisation of commercial buildings while addressing the practical constraints faced by specifiers and building owners.
Titled The Future of Sustainable Commercial Heating: The Role of Hybrid Systems, the document examines the decision-making process behind commercial heating decarbonisation projects and highlights why hybrid systems are being adopted as part of a realistic and effective transition to lower-carbon heating.
While heat pumps are widely recognised as a key technology in reducing building emissions, the white paper explains that the journey to decarbonisation is often more complex than simply replacing existing systems with fully electrified alternatives. Factors such as building fabric, electrical infrastructure capacity, capital budgets, operating costs and space constraints can all influence the viability of a 100% heat pump solution, particularly in existing buildings.
The white paper argues that hybrid systems, combining heat pumps with high-efficiency commercial boilers, often enable organisations to maximise carbon savings while maintaining resilience, comfort and operational performance.
