SIG Design and Technology rebrands to AccuRoof and expands specification team

Accuroof Logo

SIG Design and Technology, the specification support arm of SIG Roofing, is rebranding to AccuRoof®, it was announced today. The rebrand builds on ten years of growth to confirm AccuRoof as a roofing consultant and supplier equipped to meet the needs of today’s architects, developers and roofing contractors.

Over the last decade, SIG Design & Technology has established itself as a roofing system designer and supplier for single ply, hot melt, liquids, hard metal roofing and cladding, green and blue roofing and biosolar systems. To reflect increasing demand for specialist roofing advice and solutions, the company is rebranding to AccuRoof, launching a new website and expanding its specification team.

Accurate Agnostic Advice

AccuRoof is a trusted, system agnostic roofing specification and technical support service for architects, specifiers and contractors. As part of SIG Roofing and its parent company, distributor SIG Plc, it can recommend the most appropriate systems for a specifier’s needs, and SIG Roofing can supply them from its national network of outlets across the UK.

AccuRoof provides an end to end solution from design and technical advice, via the ACIS scheme of registered installers, trained to install the systems, through to supply and inspection on site and single point warranties. Experienced in all aspects of roofing design, compliance, installation, maintenance and repair, the rebranded company offers specialist support to specifiers, main contractors, multi academy trusts and roofing contractors.

AccuRoof provides independent advice, to enable architects and contractors to make decisions on the specification of roofing for their projects with greater clarity and confidence. This service is provided at no cost to specifiers.

The company is expanding its specification team to meet growing customer needs for both new build and refurbishment projects.  It has entered a range of its products into the Code for Construction Product Information (CCPI) assessment process and implemented a continuous training programme to ensure it can offer up to date advice in line with the Building Safety Act and changing regulations. To address the skills shortage, AccuRoof will also be rolling out more contractor training sites across the UK.

New Website Resource

The rebrand is marked by the launch of AccuRoof’s new website accuroof.co.uk. Reflecting the Building Safety Act’s emphasis on a systems-based approach, the site features commonly used roofing systems with direct links to NBS Source specification data. Users can filter flat, green and blue roofing systems by type, waterproofing, insulation, deck construction and even UniClass. Bespoke support is also never far away.

Reflecting the brand’s desire to be transparent, approachable and responsive, the entire specification and technical teams are accessible via the website, including by a postcode search, enabling specifiers to reach the right person quickly. The company’s popular online content has been retained and repurposed into a searchable knowledge base and a database of over 100 case studies.

The decision to rebrand has been strongly influenced by market research with key stakeholders, including architects, surveyors, and contractors, to better understand the areas they needed help with. For most of them, it was assistance with compliance and building legislation. The SIG Design & Technology model was already supporting this, but we felt it was time to really push the envelope and demonstrate our expertise within the industry.” Says AccuRoof Trading Director, Rob Edwards.

The growth of AccuRoof is part of that strategy, providing a unique service to architects and contractors whilst bringing value to our specialist subcontractors supporting them to deliver.”
