Knauf to launch new specification guide at Education Estates
Knauf Gypsum will give visitors to Education Estates (20-21 October 2026) a first look at its new specification guide, which brings together current and previous Department for Education (DfE) master plans, system selection and specification in one place.
In a sector first, the Knauf Design Guide: Education maps systems against the latest DfE Construction Framework 2025 floorplans, while also covering Pre CF25 designs for projects already in development.
Developed using feedback from specifiers, the guide uses interactive, colour coded floorplans to help users explore different areas of a school, understand relevant performance requirements for the varying room configurations, and identify Knauf’s recommended solutions. A simple three click journey takes users from the floorplan to the relevant system in NBS, where they can add it to their specification and access technical data sheets, BIM data, EPDs and supporting documentation.
Alongside a first look at the guide, visitors to Knauf’s stand will receive an exclusive preview of new products set to launch in the months ahead that further strengthen the manufacturer’s support for the sector. Attendees can also find out more about Knauf’s Environmental Product Declarations, waste reduction and Plasterboard Take Back Scheme.
Mark Enderby, Specification Market Manager at Knauf said: “Education buildings have to work incredibly hard. They need to be safe, durable and comfortable places to learn, while project teams face the pressure to deliver against tight budgets and increasingly demanding performance requirements.
“Our focus is on making that job easier. The new guide has been shaped by what specifiers told us they need, and it sits alongside the technical expertise, training and new solutions we’re developing to give education teams better support throughout a project.
“Education Estates is a great opportunity to bring that together and give visitors a first look at what’s coming next from Knauf. More importantly, it gives us the chance to hear directly from the people designing, delivering and managing education buildings about the challenges they’re facing and where we can make a difference.”
Knauf will be located in Hall 1, Stand 345 at Education Estates, or for more information on its support for education projects, visit https://knauf.com/en-GB/sectors/education/knauf-gypsum.
