With over 40 years in the roofing and construction industry, and recently named the Pitched Roofing Award 2025 winner for Outstanding Contribution to the Industry, Graham began his career as an apprentice, a three‑year slating and tiling programme that ignited his commitment to continual learning and raising industry standards.

At a time when roofing faces a serious skills shortage, industry bodies warn that without sustained investment in training and young talent, the sector risks long‑term decline. Education has been a constant thread throughout Graham’s career, but his greatest impact comes from sharing his knowledge openly. Graham supports this effort by mentoring students and delivering CPDs and college sessions across the UK, helping equip the next generation with the skills needed to future‑proof the construction industry. In the past year alone, he has presented to more than 2,000 professionals, apprentices, and students, offering his open, practical approach, through clear, experience‑based guidance builds confidence in young roofers and helps them develop safe, effective, high‑quality practices and industry standards.
