Roseview celebrates the new NSBRC Retrofit Zone, showcasing secondary glazing for efficient, low-impact upgrades.

Window manufacturer Roseview Windows has supported the National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC) as it opens its new Retrofit Zone. The Retrofit Zone is an interactive exhibit designed to help homeowners with practical ways to reduce energy use, cut bills and improve comfort in existing homes.
The Retrofit Zone was officially opened on Friday 7 November by Sarah Gibson MP, just hours after the NSBRC was named Sustainable Business of the Year at the 2025 Business Exchange Awards. For Roseview, the launch also marks five years of supporting the NSBRC, where the company showcases its sash windows and secondary glazing to visitors looking to improve older properties without compromising their character.
Located in Swindon, the NSBRC’s Retrofit Zone features full-scale cross-sections of homes from different periods, illustrating the challenges of upgrading traditional housing stock. The exhibit includes Roseview’s Incarnation secondary glazing, a cost-effective and non-intrusive system that significantly enhances thermal and acoustic performance while preserving original windows.
Incarnation secondary glazing is presented as an ideal solution for homeowners seeking meaningful energy improvements without the cost, disruption or heritage implications of replacing existing windows. The system is particularly suited to conservation areas, listed buildings and sensitive refurbishments; all common issues for many of the centre’s visitors.

Harvey Fremlin, Managing Director at the NSBRC, welcomed Roseview’s continued involvement: “Four in five of the homes we’ll live in by 2050 already exist. Upgrading what we have is essential, but can be confusing. Our new Retrofit Zone makes it simple, practical and inspiring. Visitors can see what works, talk to experts like Roseview Windows, and leave feeling confident.”
Mike Bygrave, Director at Roseview Windows, added: “We’ve supported the NSBRC for several years because it provides something rare: genuinely practical, unbiased guidance for homeowners. We’re delighted to contribute solutions that blend performance, sustainability, heritage sensitivity and real-world ease of installation.”
